Flexible seating options will make such a difference in my classroom. Currently, my students have opted for a longer school day to better prepare them for college, but it's hard for that extra hour to be productive when they have spent the entire day in hard chairs. During independent work times students will have the option of a squishy seat instead of a hard one. Colorful and comfortable seats will help keep students engaged in their reading and give them a relaxed atmosphere to dig deep into complex texts. Let's show my students that hard work doesn't have to be uncomfortable!
