Research has shown that children sitting on balance balls, as opposed to traditional chairs, have improved behavior and increased ability to sit still and focus. Their ability to move around more on the ball chairs while sitting at their desks make the students much more attentive.
Being in motion by being able to wiggle on a ball chair allows their brains to be much more engaged. Sitting still in a traditional chair is very difficult for young children, as developmentally, they are not ready for that. This is why many children tip back in their chairs, and eventually fall over backwards, resulting in injury. By being able to focus better, achievement will go up and they will do much better in school.
