The educational item that I am requesting from Ðǿմ«Ã½ is to provide more robust opportunities in our MakerSpace. A MakerSpace in an innovation Studio for project-based learning, innovation, creativity, communication and collaboration for all our students in grades 3-8 (est. 1,100 students). The studio is beginning to be outfitted with, but not limited to, furniture, cutting edge technology, tools, machines, consumable materials, circuitry, robotics, design curriculum, storage and more. Every student will have the opportunity to learn and master 21st century skills of innovation, creativity, technology, collaboration and flexible thinking. The work in the studio will mirror the creating, collaboration, building, communication, critical thinking and solving of complex problems that scientists, entrepreneurs, engineers, artists, and innovators encounter in the real-world.
I am requesting Snap Circuits. These kits will allow students to develop analytical and problem solving skills while simultaneously igniting their curiosity and a passion for STEM learning!
