I look forward to using the standing desks as an alternative to sitting to promote better learning and better health. There are many students who can stay focused on their work for longer periods of time while standing. I'd like to raise enough money for three standing desks so that individuals, or a small group of students, can do their work standing up. The desks will allow for flexible classroom configurations to foster group work and peer collaboration. They will provide more options for students to be continuously moving; therefore, increasing engagement and overall educational success. I'm excited, as are my students, to get started with this simple, yet meaningful, change to our classroom. Thank you for your consideration in donating to this project!
