Imagine September and you are preparing for the best school year ever. You have everything you think you need to survive the school year and December comes and you're out of everything- pencils, erasers, everything. This is a sad reality for many students in my classroom. Most of my students started the year with supplies but many of my parents do not have the funds to repurchase throughout the year.
Having basic school supplies such as pencils, scissors, markers, and colored pencils make classroom assignments accessible for every student. The materials requested will allow my students to complete daily assignments without worrying about not having the supplies necessary to complete it as well as not burden parents, who may not have the resources, to purchase supplies.
