These materials will allow our three classrooms of students to work in whole group, small groups, and partners to perform valuable science experiments. We need spring scales, student thermometers, models of the solar system, terrariums, temperature guns, pulley, flashlights, and baseballs to aid us with our experiments. All of these items will be used for the third grade science standards, which include organisms, light and heat, earth and moon, gravity, and force and motion. By working in different settings with a variety of materials and experiments, students will be highly engaged. This will also integrate their science skills with writing and other subjects. This will also deepen their knowledge that can be carried on to upper grades, and it will be a life skill to inspire future scientists.
