My students who are 5-6 years old are in great need of an environment that allows them to get comfortable. Many of my students are new to the school environment, never having been to preschool. I like to give my newbies (kindergartners) every advantage possible for successful learning and believe that a cozy, comfortable classroom is one way to do that. I also believe that when learning is fun, it doesn't feel like learning. I try to provide my students with a variety of learning opportunities so that they stay engaged and want to keep coming back.
