Students are being taught to chose just right books for themselves and to read with vigor and excitement. Having a range of titles at a range of levels will really allow students to self-select books they can and WANT to read. I picture a students so excited about getting the latest, greatest title they cannot wait to start reading! When the mobile book cart comes to the room, I share books I have read and hand them out to interested students. Also, during this time, students give me suggestions and also suggest books to their peers. The vibe in the classrooms is so exciting when everyone is talking about their books.

About my class
