My 7th grade students will use the acrylic bins keep and study insects and populations. 8th graders will explore magnetism with the ferro-fluid, and learn about the Periodic Table. The composition books, pencils, pens and colored pencils will help them record their learning and share what they know. We've been using old, scratched safety glasses for years, so the new safety equipment (glasses) will help them do it safely and more comfortably.
The materials in this project will help Covid-19 affected students to build the logic, problem solving, and teamwork skills that were absent in at-home learning. Relevant standards include: MS-PS1-2, MS-PS3-2, MS-LS2-1
