The use of whiteboards and markers are good tools to measure student understanding. Students will use the whiteboards for guided practice and temperature checks. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. This will help us eliminate the need for paper to do these tasks. Students will be able to focus on the academic material, with a creative way to do so.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
Students create country projects in class to help understand different regions found throughout the world. We compare and contrast places, and apply real world happenings to the learning done in class. Students need markers, colored pencils, sticky paper, and glue sticks to be able to do these projects. Many of the students cannot provide those materials for themselves, and this is a way to allow them to focus on the learning, instead of stressing out over the materials they cannot provide. I have seen how access to materials have allowed for greater student learning in class and this will go a long way in making that happen!
