The SMS Physical Education Department would like to introduce a Backyard Games unit to our 7th and 8th grade students. These games will encourage all students to be active in activities other than team sports. These activities will encourage students to get out in their backyards and play games with their parents, siblings or friends. They are inexpensive games that are often played at barbecues, birthday parties or camping. So once the students learn how to play them, they will be more likely to play them to continue a lifelong fitness lifestyle. Please support our unit to keep kids fit.
