The materials I am requesting will help my students in the following areas: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), problem solving, and cooperation in a more engaging manner. I will be using these robotics, magnetic toys, snap circuits, Legos, and games in many settings. Some of these include in science lessons to explore scientific concepts, inside recess, and potentially a STEM club.
Donations to this project would help my students better engage in learning both educational and social/emotional concepts that will help them throughout life. My students really enjoy building. Recently, we participated in Global Play Day and I had several students using many different items in the classroom to build things such as car ramps and tracks throughout the room. The games and STEM activities both promote cooperation, collaboration among students, and communication skills. My students love to learn especially with hands on activities. I believe that all of these items will encourage my students to get more excited about topics that are typically more challenging.
