As we grow as readers in kindergarten, I want to expose my students to great leveled readers for our small group instruction and independent practice. My students love to read and can never have too many leveled readers in their independent reading tubs! One of the best parts of teaching kindergarten is our guided reading instruction. This is where students get one-on-one and small group attention with reading strategies and skills. Having a new set of leveled readers will help expose my students to new topics. We will also have additional texts for our individual book tubs when we practice reading independently.
