Our second grade team is excited to encourage and build writing skills. We have selected blank bound books to create a lasting final project for each student. One book will be used to write a fictional winter story to based on a favorite story "Snowmen at Night" Students well be able to create a story that happens at night with characters of their own choice. The second book will be used to write a non fiction informational text about the stages of the developing butterfly from caterpillar to butterfly. The other materials will be used to boost our STEM materials and enhance engineering skills through creativity and building activities.
