I work with a group of 29 ESL students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. My school is a small school in a high-needs, urban area of the South Bronx in New York City.
My students are mainly Spanish-speakers from the Dominican Republic, who have been in the country for fewer than 5 years.
I also have some students from other Spanish-speaking countries, Africa, and the Middle East.
The students are very motivated to learn English and to improve academically this year. Your donations will enable my students to have the necessary resources to focus on their learning and improving their English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
