The manipulatives I am requesting for my students are in hopes to motivate them more in continuing their mathematical practices. I do not want these math stations to seem as "busy work" to my students. I want these stations to be productive, educational, meaningful, yet FUN!
I feel these requested manipulatives will give them they idea that they are playing, but are learning at the same time. I don't want my students to see math as just a school subject. I want them to see math as an everyday part of their lives. I want them to continue using the strategies taught. I think these manipulatives can aid in my hopes!
