When I was about the age of my students, I began reading the Harry Potter series with my mom. We both fell in love with the series and read the books together as I grew older. My students have shown the same interest and readiness to read an engaging and inspiring book series, too. My students are beginning to want more out of what they read. They're ready to dive deep into a real novel - a story that will take them on an adventure. I want to put a book into their hands that they find hard to set down.
