My students would use these Chromebooks to assist in writing development and publishing. They will write essays including narratives, persuasive essays, and informative essays. They will be able to use the Chromebooks to conduct research in order to complete their writings. In addition to word processing, they will also use these Chromebooks to create PowerPoint presentations about specific topics. They will be able to access other educational or reference sites to support their writing. My students will also be able to access the internet at those important teachable moments when questions arise regarding currently taught concepts. In addition, they will be able to use their Chromebooks to access materials that support other subject areas other than Language Arts.
