In Kindergarten we are learning through concrete materials such as counters and blocks. The math manipulatives and games I have selected with help my students with their one-to-one correspondence and allow them to put a concrete item with abstract thought.
The kitchenette I have selected with be used during our Expeditionary Learning Toys and Play Module. This will allow my students to play together in a group while using their imaginations. It will allow me to observe their sharing skills, communication skills, and abilities to work as a team during our center time.
