I recently was inspired bt a teacher from Missouri who wrote: "A document camera is the perfect tool to help students learn financial responsibility. Many adults today use Internet banking and manage finances on the computer. Children need to learn how to manage finances and need to learn to use technology to do so."
The document camera with the help of our digital projector would allow me to display our class work on financial literacy for everyone in the class to see. "Learning about money can be fun for students. There are many interactive financial literacy websites where students can learn personal finance through articles, games, and videos."
I need this teaching tool to allow me to maximize the impact of teachable moments and bring the power of technology to my students. Nothing inspires a child like seeing his or her work displayed in bright lights in front of the class, and that is exactly what this projector does. It does so easily and in an instant. Students will also have fun as they interact at various sites that teach money management skills.
