I have a passion for teaching my students to love reading children’s books to young children. Did you know that an indicator of success in children is the amount of books they read? There is a million-word gap when entering school between children who are read to on a regular basis and those who do not have access to books. Kindness is taught to the young - the Kindness Series of books by Scholastic is an excellent way to introduce kindness and a passion for books at the same time. After reading to the children in the preschool we will send the books home with the children.
