This is a very unique, heart-warming Christmas story that I have read with my students for 17 years. The books are paperback, and the books that I have now are missing the covers, pages are missing, and I have taped them repeatedly. It would be wonderful to have a new class set so that each student has a copy to use for the next Christmas season. Since my students are in fifth grade, they either read the books independently, with partners, and sometimes we read chapters as a whole group and then we discuss the story. It is difficult to have to share the books because the students have independent work to do which involves using the book. We would be very grateful to have a new class set.
