My students need seven iPads for supplementary programming in order to increase their reading skills. By incorporating technology into our reading program, we hope to further our students success with reading comprehension and fluency. Using the iPads, we will incorporate literacy based applications, so students can independently work on their reading skills. The students will be able to make growth in areas of comprehension, fluency, phonemic awareness and writing.
Our students will benefit from using technology because we will be incorporating the skills they need to know along with a creative way to engage them. As teachers, we know that technology is effective in a variety of ways and we want our students to expand their horizons while reading!
