These materials will, in a nutshell, engage my class. They will have guided reading books they're interested in, and science equipment that they can use hands-on and to better understand the concepts. There are so many materials that will not only make learning fun for them, but will help them remember and retain what they've learned.
With science, using these materials will give us weather experiments to observe, and models to explain concepts better. The books I have for reading groups work, but they are not high interest. If my students can love the interesting books I picked out, they will be much more happy about practicing reading. They can enjoy what they are learning, and it will meet individual learners needs. I also have requested little things like markers and bean bags to help with Art and SSR time!
