My students are in a high needs school where money is scarce and supplies are limited. On a regular day students are asking for paper, scissors, pencils, pens and supplies to do their projects because they cannot afford them.
With Donor's choose our project of "ANNIE JOHNOPOLY" can come to life. Students are reading the book Annie John by Jamaica Kincaid and their culminating project is taking the book and creating it into a Monopoly game (the game board will help explain chapters and characters pertaining to the book).
These supplies will help students have the freedom of being creative knowing that supplies won't be limited and that they actually have markers, color pencils, construction paper and presentation boards to make their game come to life without fear that they have to figure out where to get money to buy theses thing. My kids will be able to focus on the task instead of the expense.
