I teach 2nd grade at a Title 1 elementary school. I usually have about 22 students each year. Many students come from homes that cannot afford school supplies. Our school receives donations from local churches to cover the basics which is helpful. Everything else I have to purchase myself from my own paycheck. I spend approximately $2500 each year towards books, classroom decorations, bday bags, holiday crafts/gifts prize box items, rewards, lamination, stickers, headphones., etc.
The students are so grateful for anything they receive so it makes it worth it to me. Thank you for your support!
