In order for my students to become successful musicians, they need to be equipped with the necessary tools. These tools consist of instruments, music, stands and other basic music supplies. Basic music tools as mention will allow all students to participate in daily classroom lessons and activities.
Many students can not the afford the cost of purchasing Alto Saxophone and Clarinet reeds that allow the woodwind students to participate without interruption. Trumpet and trombone mouthpieces will the brass students to practice daily to hone and master techniques.
For band students to hone their skills much practice is needed to take place. So that my band scholars can reach their highest potential in music, instruments, and other basic music supplies are necessary. To date, there are band scholars that are missing out on some of the daily requirements in class due to the lack of music supplies.
The Teach and Store Cart will allow students and teacher a portable storage area. The cart is needed to transport and secure important music materials to and from the teaching area. With the proper amount of music supplies, all band scholars will be afforded the same opportunities to participate in daily lessons, practices, and activities.
Many of our instruments have major damage. They are tape and glue together. Several require daily maintenance to produce sound. The band members need newer instruments which will help them achieve quicker success.
Band scholars will be able to share their talents and skills through performances in school and in their communities. This will allow school staff, parents, family members, communities and all other stakeholders to see the value of these students being a part of the society.
