We are beginning an after school robotics team in the fall. The robotics kits requested in this project will be used as starter equipment for the students to begin exploring how to program and manipulate robots. The purpose of this program is to develop future engineers. Students will use this equipment to develop their engineering skills and compete in local competitions. I have already secured a $1500 grant to buy some equipment to fabricate some parts for robots, and I we have local engineers on board to act as mentors. We plan on adding 3 to 4 more mentors as this program is developed.
