Our current team of 16 girls does not own basketball shoes which will provide proper support to be successful on the court. Students in our population generally have to pay sports fees, buy uniform clothes, and uniform shoes. In an low income area, it is difficult to ask and require families to provide students with basketball shoes.
These particular students have not had the fortune of growing up in a community that loves and values the sport of basketball. The girls will have confidence in their new apparel, in addition, to being better able to prevent any sports related injuries. Students that look and feel great playing a new sport will also feel proud to be wearing matching gear as their teammates.
