Having the use of Chromebooks daily would greatly enhance my students' abilities to work independently and be responsible for completing assignments as they are given. As a Reading and Social Science teacher, I assign activities that require the use of the internet. I have to extend the time in which assignments are due because my class does not have access to the computer lab. Therefore, my students face challenges when a assignment calls for extensive research.
Chromebooks would allow my students to access information right at their fingertips. This tool would make resources readily available when researching topics such as famous poets or The American Revolution. This way, they can focus on when they will complete the assignment rather on how they will complete the assignment.
