At our school, almost 75% of our students are living below the poverty line, with many living either motels or shelters. We work to be a place of learning and endless love and acceptance. The students that I work with are in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Many of them are significantly behind academically and I work to them help close the gap between what they already know and what they need to be learning. At times this is difficult on my students as all of them have special needs that require additional supports and services. But through it all they persevere and never seem to give up. This dedication pushes me to ensure that I am the absolute best special education resource teacher that I can be.
