Technology is a vital tool in today's world. Students love to use technology. Technology makes learning intriguing to students. In my classroom, one of the main ways we use technology is through google classroom. My students love to complete digital escape rooms in mathematics. They are having fun while trying to beat the clock, but at the same time they are learning skills related to the 6th grade standards.
A classroom set of Chromebooks would greatly be utilized in my classroom on a daily basis. Students love to use computer-based games to review social studies terms for their tests. Computer-based games help students engage in what they are studying to make it interactive and fun.
One of my main projects in social studies is for students to create a google slides project on the country of their choice. This integrates computer skills with social studies. However, I do not have enough Chromebooks for all students to do it at the same time. Hopefully, through Donor's Choose, I will be able to give my students opportunities to have technology in my classroom that they wouldn't be able to have otherwise.
