We are always creating, researching, or STEM-ing in Mandarin classes and this takes a lot of supplies. Our Mandarin classes are on a project based curriculum. And they will work on group or individual projects after each topic. So my students will be using these supplies to help them create their projects. These projects will help students illustrate the different things they have learned in Mandarin classes.
Based off of this idea, my students will be taking a large range of topics and creating a project to show how they all tie into each other. Students will be able to draw pictures, create poems, draw maps, and all other things that will help them demonstrate their knowledge.
By doing these projects, I hope that my students will be able to see where they have been, and ultimately where they are going, with their learning. This is a great opportunity for me to show my students that I know learning is more than testing, learning is creativity.
