The set of balance boards will encourage and support my 4th graders during independent reading, math partners, and science small groups. 4th graders enjoy being able to work anywhere in the room. The balance boards will give students the ability to move while staying in one location.
My 4th-graders benefit from the use of two existing balance boards. Their excitement and interest increased after I bought the two balance boards. As the year has progressed, students have shown continued interest and the need for additional balance boards. By adding more balance boards to the classroom students would have more opportunities to use kinesthetic furniture, like the balance boards, throughout the school day.
