Dancing Classrooms is a 10-week, 20-class in school residency led by a trained/certified Dancing Classrooms Teaching Artist. Classes take place twice a week for 45 minutes each during the regular school day.
Through dance barriers are broken down and students learn to have respect and compassion for one another. The design of the Dancing Classroom program brings out high levels of student engagement. Students will interact better with their peers, be more respectful of one another, be more confident, have greater self-esteem, and be better coordinated. Students will also be able to skillfully perform six ballroom dances with a partner: merengue, rumba, foxtrot, waltz, tango, and swing.
