Hello! My name is Miss Eckard. I am a third year teacher at Highlands Elementary School in Immokalee, Florida. I teach first grade and love every minute of it. It brings me such joy to see the desire to learn in my students despite tough circumstances they may face outside of school. 92% of our students are economically needed, yet they still try their best to make the most of every situation and come to school everyday ready to learn and take on new challenges. I am likewise doing my best everyday to instill in them that love of learning that they will carry with them throughout the course of their lives.
