I was raised by a mother who worked on the theory that you "Fly by the seat of your pants." And my older brother was born in the 1960's with ADHD at a time when med's were experimental. My parents did NOT want to experiment on him. Therefore, I learned many coping skills and strategies to help many different types of children. I am very patient, with a high tolerance for movement and activity. I believe if I can get a child talking and moving in the first 30 minutes of the day, they will be engaged throughout the rest of the day, which means they are glad to come each day, excited about learning, and open to exploring their world. These last few years I have been collecting various types of tables and created new arrangements in my room. I NEED seating that will accommodate flexibility. In our room we move, stand and sit. I could use help funding this expense. Please help my students with flexible seating.
