My name is Tiara Staley and I am a first-year teacher at Beverly Park Park Elementary in Seattle, WA. People always ask me why I decided to teach the 6th grade in a Title I school and I simply tell them, "I teach the 6th grade in a Title I school because I believe this is the time when teachers have the greatest impact on students." Middle school-aged children are go through so many changes and they need an education that is fun, organized, consistent, and appropriately challenging. In my opinion, there is no grade that is more spiritually rewarding than the 6th grade.
