My students are special needs students who also struggle with coming to school prepared to learn. My project is providing supplies for my students to use in my classroom. My students travel between my classroom and the general education classroom. They struggle with having enough supplies for one classroom, and bringing them back and forth for two classrooms becomes very stressful for them. I am asking for pencils, markers, paper, glue, folders, and index cards. Each one of these things helps us become better readers, writers, and mathematicians.
By providing access to the tools they need to be successful, the less my students have to worry about if they have the pencils or paper they need to have for class. I just want them to be ready and excited to learn each day!
