My students will be able to increase focus and keep their mind engaged while their bodies are active. They will need less breaks if they are able to wiggle in their seats and get some energy out while they work. We need the carpet as a sound barrier in our small classroom and so that we all have a place to hold classroom meetings and read alouds. The book cart will organize our materials and allow me to move them out of the way when not in use to create more space.
