Theses materials requested will help many of my students who were affected by Hurricane Irma Category 4 in the South Florida Area to get back on the right track of learning. Many of my students have been without power for over a week without any wi-fi and internet service in their homes and neighborhoods. Having these computers set up in my classrooms as work stations will allow my Seniors to prepare to take mock ACT/SAT examinations, practice Khan Academy to increase test scores, apply for college admission, submit essays to their respective colleges, correspond with college advisors and admission counselors.
Students will have an advantage to practice all the skills listed above to pass and earn higher scores on their test to prepare for high school graduation and college scholarships without having the burden to return home without wi-fi and internet services in certain areas within our District as a result of Hurricane Irma.
