My virtual students will feel like they are taking my math class in-person. The Wacom tablet will allow me to write my notes, examples, and important information in my own handwriting while using a computer instead of a whiteboard. Since I am an online math teacher (at a brand new online high school in the district) my students will solely receive their instruction in my math courses through live Zooms, pre-recorded videos, and 1-1 tutoring video sessions. Math can be tricky for students to know how to show their work, write the mathematical symbols, and complete activities online. This tablet will help me model what students have available to some of them (with iPads, touchscreen computers, etc) at home to complete the math activities. With this tablet, I will be able to provide virtual instruction and assistance to students in a manner very similar as if I were in a classroom with them.
