Many of my students come from low income homes in Mississippi. They are amazing kids who, if given a chance, will change the world. They just haven't yet seen a world that wants them to succeed and make that change. Our school is a melting pot for different nationalities and cultures. Many of them have never and may never leave the state. I want to be able to take them places (figuratively) they may never be allowed to go.
