The Scholastic Action magazine is full of amazing stories that engage readers of all ages. The length of the stories do not frighten the students and the Lexile level is just perfect for them to be able to comprehend! Reluctant readers are often apprehensive when it comes to full length books, but reading from a magazine might help those students build a love for reading.
The articles are both inspiring and engaging, helping to catch the attention of even the most reluctant reader (which is a very difficult thing to do with any text!) I believe this magazine will help build all of my students' comprehension and lead them to an appreciation of the written language.
