I make history come alive for my students. They are always working on the floor to create things such as cave art, history quilts, and building feudal castles. My students even make history music videos at the end of the semester where they sing and dance to a popular song with their own lyrics. Every day I incorporate higher level thinking activities accompanied with creativity. The students need a space that they can work at their tables and collaborate with their peers. I would like tables that they can put together or pull apart to fit the activity. We have Socratic Seminars and these desks will help facilitate that. The students love my history class and these desks would allow me to do even more with them.
