Our students have a strong desire to learn to play instruments. We need guitars to provide them with this opportunity. Guitars at school will provide our students with opportunities they have not had before. Learning to play will provide them a new skill, that they can use for the rest of their lives. Our goal is to provide life long culture in our small community that they can use for the rest of their lives. Music will become something students look forward and love. Our students will learn to read music. This is skill that they will continue to use as they grow. Playing the guitar can provide cross-curricular learning as well, as we discuss sound waves, and why different size strings make different sounds. Learning to play the guitar at school will be a fun group activity, and that can be continue to be used by each individual as they grow.
