The calculators, geometric shapes, markers, clipboards, and chart paper will aid in making our math lessons more interactive to help students grasp important math concepts. These tools will be used to help students build on skills to help them grow and improve their math abilities. For example, while teaching a lesson on adding with regrouping and rounding, students will use the markers to complete the problems on their whiteboards and then use their calculators to double check their answers. The donations for this project will help to improve my students' independent understanding of different math concepts because I will be able to more easily assess individual students learning. Being able to assess individual needs will allow me to find which students need more academic support so that I can help guide them and provide additional academic guidance.
