With these books, students will be able to have their own copy of a text. This will allow them to annotate and interact with a life changing story of a young girl about their age.
Alongside their reading students will begin crafting their own personal narrative pieces, drawing inspiration from this young girl's telling of her very personal, real life.
This project will intertwine three disciplines into one as students engage in WW2 history through English Language Arts. Students will use this diary to research events of World War 2.
I am excited to see how our diverse group of students learns to apply this lesson in history to their community in an impactful way, empowering them to leave behind a legacy of kindness, perseverance, and acceptance.
