The supplies that I am requesting will help my students expand their creativity and critical thinking skills. The use of art to reinforce the skills that are being taught in core subjects is a wonderful way to increase learning. The markers, construction paper and watercolors will be used in hands-on projects that build on the knowledge they gain in class.
When a student can create or build a project, they are making connections, and learning is being facilitated in a way that cannot be duplicated. It is my hope that these materials will help me foster a love of learning and creativity in my students.
