My students need more access to a variety of independent reading books in our classroom library. There are many benefits to students having access in the classroom to a variety of appropriately leveled texts that are high interest. When students practice reading independently they build their background knowledge about different subjects, improve reading fluency and comprehension, and create a love of reading that will positively influence them throughout their lives. Giving students new books will make them excited to interact with them and interested in picking them up. Please help me get the tools necessary for students to become lifelong readers in my classroom!
